Questions (Essay #2)

Real Friends vs. virtual Friends
  • Who can you trust?
  • Who's reliable?
  • Are they really your friend?
  • How did you meet?
  • How much time do you spend together?
  • What do you know?
  • How much should you trust them?

If anyone can think of any better questions will you please let me know? Thank you!

  1. To me, real friends are the ones that stay with you through all the different events that happen in life. I have the same friends I've had for the past 16 years and no matter where our lives take us we always make the effort to keep in touch. Both of my best friends live in other states but we stay close regardless of distance.

One of my best friends, Danielle I met at Warped Tour in 2008. She was crowd-surfing during The Devil wears Prada and literally landed on me. Two months later we realized we went to the same school!

My boyfriend is a best friend of mine also but I think it's important to have other friends besides a significant other (so you can bitch him/her to your friends when they're being a jerk).

I think social networking has reinvented the word "friend" though. On Facebook I have over 700 "friends" but it's a question of how many of them I actually know. I think sites like Facebook are a great way to keep in touch and stay close to friends but I also think it can tear friends apart with "cyber-bullying" and the lack of direct contact.
